Privacy Policy
Effective date: 26 June 2026
1. Controller
Stream Buddy is operated by Alttab Profit SRL, RO17030480, Str. Doamna Oltea, Nr. 70, Bucharest, Romania. For personal data processed through Stream Buddy, Alttab Profit SRL is generally the data controller for streamer account data and platform operation data.
For some viewer data that a streamer chooses to process through their connected Twitch channel, the streamer may also act as an independent controller. Stream Buddy provides the tooling and processes data as needed to deliver the configured service.
2. Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect personal data when you visit streambuddy.app, sign in with Twitch, connect a Twitch channel, configure the bot, use voice or chat tools, create contests, use game integrations, or interact with Stream Buddy as a viewer through a streamer’s channel.
3. Personal Data We Process
Depending on how Stream Buddy is used, we may process Twitch account identifiers, Twitch display name, login name, profile image, email address if provided by Twitch, channel identifiers, OAuth access and refresh tokens, bot settings, command settings, channel reward settings, EventSub subscription data, follower records, clip records, stream and game metadata, chat messages seen by the bot, badges and role information, contest entries, winner records, public contest display data, voice command transcripts, generated bot replies, alert settings, usage logs, technical logs, IP-related request metadata, browser/device information, cookie and analytics identifiers, and support communications.
We do not intentionally collect special categories of personal data. Users should not submit sensitive personal data through commands, voice prompts, contest names, support messages, or chat automation settings.
4. Sources of Data
We receive data directly from users, from Twitch when a user authenticates or when Twitch sends API/EventSub/IRC data, from streamer configuration choices, from viewers who interact with enabled channel commands or contests, and from third-party integrations used to provide configured features.
5. Purposes and Legal Bases
We process personal data to provide the service, authenticate users, connect Twitch channels, run chat automation, operate contests, provide alerts, show clips and follower data, process voice commands, answer enabled bot or game commands, maintain security, prevent abuse, troubleshoot errors, improve reliability, communicate with users, comply with legal obligations, and keep necessary business records.
Our legal bases under the GDPR may include performance of a contract where processing is necessary to provide Stream Buddy, legitimate interests such as service security and improvement, consent where required for optional cookies or optional integrations, and legal obligation where we must keep or disclose information under applicable law.
6. Twitch and Third-Party Integrations
Stream Buddy depends on third-party services. Data may be sent to or received from Twitch, OpenAI, ElevenLabs, Wargaming, Tarkov Market, OpenWeather, hosting and infrastructure providers, queue and database services, analytics providers, email or support tools, and security/logging providers when those services are enabled or necessary. Third-party services process data under their own terms and privacy notices where applicable.
7. OAuth Tokens and Connected Accounts
When you connect Twitch, we store tokens needed to operate the bot and requested integrations. Tokens are used to call Twitch APIs, refresh access, manage EventSub subscriptions, read permitted channel information, create clips if enabled, send chat messages through the bot, and perform actions you configure. You can revoke Twitch access from Twitch account settings, but connected features may stop working.
8. Contests and Public Pages
If a streamer enables public contest entries, viewer display names and ticket counts may be visible through a public URL. Streamers should only enable public contest pages when they are comfortable making that information visible. Contest winner announcements may also be sent in Twitch chat.
9. Voice and AI Features
Browser voice recognition may process speech in the user’s browser or through browser-provided speech services, depending on the browser. Stream Buddy processes the resulting transcript to detect enabled commands. OpenAI audio transcription is currently disabled in this build, but other OpenAI text features may be used for enabled chat responses. AI outputs and transcripts may be stored in operational logs where needed for troubleshooting or feature history.
10. Cookies and Analytics
We may use cookies or similar technologies for authentication, session security, user preferences, consent management, analytics, and service diagnostics. Optional analytics or marketing cookies should be used only where permitted by consent and applicable law. You can manage browser cookie settings through your browser, but disabling essential cookies may prevent login or account features from working.
11. Sharing of Personal Data
We do not sell personal data. We may share personal data with service providers and processors that help operate Stream Buddy, with third-party APIs required by enabled features, with Twitch or other platforms as needed to perform configured actions, with authorities where legally required, with professional advisers, or in connection with a business restructuring, merger, acquisition, or asset transfer subject to appropriate safeguards.
12. International Transfers
Some providers or APIs may process data outside Romania, the European Economic Area, or your country. Where GDPR transfer rules apply, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as adequacy decisions, Standard Contractual Clauses, processor terms, or other lawful transfer mechanisms.
13. Retention
We keep personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy. Account and configuration data is generally kept while the account is active. Twitch tokens are kept while the account remains connected. Chat, voice, contest, clip, follower, analytics, and operational logs may be kept for service functionality, troubleshooting, abuse prevention, or streamer history, and may be deleted or anonymized when no longer needed. Some information may be retained longer where required for legal claims, security, backups, accounting, or compliance.
14. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures intended to protect personal data, including access controls, framework-level protections, transport security where configured, and operational safeguards. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Users should keep their Twitch account secure and revoke integrations they no longer use.
15. Your Rights
Where the GDPR applies, you may have the right to be informed, access your personal data, request rectification, request erasure, restrict processing, object to processing, request data portability, and not be subject to decisions based solely on automated processing where such decisions produce legal or similarly significant effects. Some rights depend on the legal basis and context of processing.
You may also withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. Withdrawal does not affect processing that happened before withdrawal. To exercise rights, contact support@streambuddy.app. We may need to verify your identity or account connection before responding.
16. Viewer Requests
If you are a Twitch viewer and your data was processed because you interacted with a streamer’s channel, you can contact us, but in some cases we may direct you to the streamer because they control the contest, command, or channel configuration. We will reasonably assist with valid requests where Stream Buddy holds the relevant data.
17. Children
Stream Buddy is intended for Twitch streamers and viewers who are old enough to use Twitch and the connected services under their applicable terms. We do not knowingly create accounts for children who are not permitted to use the service.
18. Complaints
You may contact us first at support@streambuddy.app. If you believe your data protection rights have been violated, you may lodge a complaint with a competent supervisory authority, including the Romanian National Supervisory Authority for Personal Data Processing or the authority in your EU/EEA country.
19. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. If changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify users through the service or another appropriate channel.
20. Contact
Privacy questions and data rights requests can be sent to support@streambuddy.app or by post to Alttab Profit SRL, Str. Doamna Oltea, Nr. 70, Bucharest, Romania.
